labels & love

I’m Kim Josephine

Your GERMAN GIRL ALWAYS CHASING LABELS & LOVE

I’m in my early 20s, just finished my Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, and now I’m heading to London to start a new chapter: pursuing my Master’s in Luxury Brand Management.

So welcome to Labels and Love – a space where I share stories about labels… and stories about love. Both for fashion, and for life itself.

I’m so happy you’re here.

With love,
K.J.K

Behind the blog

How it all started

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been in love with fashion, aesthetics, and everything beautifully curated. From journaling since I was 13 to creating Pinterest boards at 15. Now, at 23, it feels like the perfect moment to bring it all together – the visuals, the voice, the vibe – and start Labels and Love.

This blog is my digital diary for London and for my 20s in general – a decade that’s unpredictable, full of growth, and deeply relatable. Here, you’ll find everything from my outfit formulas, trend predictions, fashion opinions, and designer bag thoughts to vintage gems, interior design obsessions, current colors I love, and my non-negotiables of the moment.

FAQ

It’s my digital diary — a space to document my life, express my love for aesthetics, and keep my loved ones updated while I’m in London. It’s where I share my thoughts on trends, fashion, and everything that inspires me — a little time capsule of who I am in my early 20s.

The name was inspired by one of my favorite films — Sex and the City. In it, Carrie says she came to New York for “labels and love” and honestly, I couldn’t relate more. Just like Carrie had New York in her 30s, I have London in my 20s. Let’s see if my life turns out just as beautifully chaotic — but I do hope a pair (or two) of Manolos will find their way into my wardrobe…

During my Bachelor’s degree, I never moved away from my hometown. I studied and lived where I grew up. But as I grew personally and outgrew certain parts of my old life, I realized I needed something new. Something bigger. During a semester break, I took a two-week solo language trip to London. Why London? Hard to explain…I’ve always felt drawn to it, even though I’d never been before. So I went, alone, and what can I say? I fell in love.

In those two weeks, I felt like the city was mine. I met the most wonderful people, found myself in a little girls’ group, and experienced London in a way that felt instantly right. Back in my everyday life, I couldn’t forget the feeling. London didn’t just feels like a place I visited. It felt like a place I was meant to return to. So when it came time to choose a Master’s program, the decision felt natural. I applied, got accepted — and now, I’m finally coming back to the city that already feels a little bit like home..

I genuinely love shopping — it’s both fun and a form of self-expression for me. I often mix and match: some of my favorite pieces are vintage finds, treasures from Vinted, or little things I “borrow” from my sister or mom. You’ll also catch me browsing Zara or Mango online for trend pieces I can style my way. And from time to time, I invest in designer items I truly love — the kind of pieces that feel timeless and special…

I’ve created a newsletter you can subscribe to — so you’ll always get a little note when a new blog post goes live. I also love sharing snippets of my life and current favorites on my private Instagram, often before they ever make it onto the blog.
